MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and nicely pierced balance cock, with silver regulator disk. Signed ‘Jno. Perigal, London’ and numbered (1510). Four square pillars.

All in good original condition and running well.

DIAL : Nice white enamel in excellent condition. Only a few light scratches, and a tiny chip at the opening catch at 6. Good 18thcentury steel beetle and poker hands.

INNER CASE : 22ct. gold, with rubbed marks for London, 1771, maker IW.. There is a little compression around the band, and light bruises to band and back, but the hinge is fine. The bezel is tight but does snap shut. The case is in generally good condition. Good high dome crystal with no damage.

OUTER CASE : A fine 22ct. gold pair case, with wonderful repousse work showing a classical scene. Some wear to the high points of the repousse work and just one tiny pin hole. The hinge, catch and catch button are fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely.

The gold cases weigh 39 gms (excluding movement and crystal).
