Sold

MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance bridge and plate. The bridge shows a ‘lace edge’ which is typical of London watches produced between about 1760 and 1765. Silver regulator disk and four square pillars. Signed ‘J. Miller’ and numbered 11960.

Nice undamaged blued screws. All in good original condition and running well.

The under dial calendar mechanism is complete and working.

DIAL : Silver champleve dial with date aperture. Signed “MILLER”. Fancy gilt hands.

There is a tiny hole on the edge at 9 and a couple of the half hour markers have been replaced, but a very attractive dial in generally good condition.

INNER CASE : Silver, with London hallmarks for 1764. Maker IB. The hinge is a little worn, and the stem reattached, but in overall good condition. The bezel snaps shut nicely. The high dome bull’s eye crystal is in very good condition.

OUTER CASE : Silver pair case, with no hallmarks. The hinge is fine and the case closes correctly. In fine condition.
