A beautiful little Paris verge in a gold and enamel case, within a gilt exhibition pair case.

MOVEMENT : Gilded verge movement, signed (Manget, A Paris) and numbered (492) with pierced and engraved balance bridge. Four round pillars and large silver regulator disk. Very clean, in excellent condition and running well.

DIAL : Fine, original white enamel dial, in excellent condition, with just a few tiny chips around the edge. Fancy gilt hands.

INNER CASE : Multi coloured gold, with crystal set bezel and decoration. Inset with an enamel portrait plaque, in good overall condition,. No damage or repairs. Maker’s mark AC.

The enamel has some surface scratches but not too serious. The gold is in good condition, with beautiful crystal set decoration to the back. There is slight distortion to the bezel at the catch, so the bezel shows a slight gap when closed.

There are 11 crystals missing from the bezel though none missing from the back.

The high dome crystal is in good condition.
