Gold repousse pair cases, 44.5 mm.
Verge movement

Sold

MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock, and silver regulator disk. Signed ‘Jno. Edmonds, London’ and numbered (5541). Four square pillars. All in good original condition and running.

DIAL : Nice white enamel in very good condition. Only a few light scratches around the centre, and slight rubbing on the edge at 11. Fancy gilt hands.

INNER CASE : 22ct. gold, with rubbed marks (just the lion passant remaining). The stem has been reattached (probably a replacement), a little compression and light bruises around the band, but the hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely. The case is in generally good condition. Good high dome bull’s eye crystal with no damage.

OUTER CASE : A fine 22ct. gold pair case, with wonderful repousse work. Some compression to the repousse work and a few pin holes where the high points of the repousse work have been worn down. The catch button is slightly compressed. The hinge and catch are fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely.

The gold cases weigh 33.2 gms (excluding movement and crystal).
