DIAL : White enamel dial in excellent condition, with just a few very light scratches. Nice original 18th century steel beetle and poker hands.

INNER CASE : Silver hallmarks for London, 1778, maker’s mark RP. In reasonable condition thought the stem has been reattached, and strengthened on the inside. The inner rim has a few dents and a little wear to the bezel. The high dome bull’s eye crystal and hinge are fine and the bezel closes well.

OUTER CASE : Silver pair case with matching hallmarks to the inner. Bright cut engraving to the bezel and back, with a family crest to the centre of the back. There are a few tiny dents, and wear to the engraving, but otherwise good condition. The hinge, catch and catch button are fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly.
