A fine quality London verge, in gold pair cases, in exceptional condition.

MOVEMENT : Excellent quality gilded verge fusee movement, with blued screws, diamond endstone and removable gilt brass dustcap. Signed and numbered (7080). Complete with start/stop mechanism, operated from a small lever on the side of the inner case at 4 o.clock.

All in fine original condition and running well.

DIAL : White enamel. Almost perfect condition, with no hairlines or repairs, and just a few very small surface scratches.

INNER CASE : Hallmarks for 18ct gold, London, 1816, maker WB. Excellent condition throughout. The case snaps shut nicely and the high dome bull’s eye crystal is fine. The bow and stem are original, and the stem is hallmarked.

OUTER CASE : Gold hallmarks matching the inner. Excellent condition again. The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes correctly.

These are heavy duty cases. Excluding the crystal and movement, they weigh 72 gms.
