A good quality cylinder watch.

MOVEMENT : Gilded cylinder fusee movement, with large, engraved and pierced balance cock with diamond endstone. Signed and numbered (2994). Protected by a removable gilt dustcap, signed and numbers as the movement. All in excellent condition and is running well.

DIAL : White enamel. Perfect condition. Gilt hands.

INNER CASE : Silver. Hallmarked for London, 1823. Maker’s mark WW. The interior is gilded and I believe that the case was originally silver gilt but the gilding has worn off the outer surfaces, revealing the silver. Otherwise excellent condition throughout. High dome bull’s eye crystal with surface scratches but no chips. The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes properly.

OUTER CASE : Silver, 55.5 mm in diameter. Matching hallmarks to the inner. Excellent condition throughout except that the catch button has worn down. The hinge is fine and the case closes nicely.

John Jullion & Son are listed in Brentford between 1762 and 1778, so presumably this watch is by the son.
