Early English verge with mock pendulum balance cock.

MOVEMENT : Gilt brass verge movement, signed (Garon, London) and numbered (456). The balance cock is beautifully engraved, with a cutaway section showing the mock pendulum. Wonderful tulip pillars. Running well and in good complete condition.

DIAL : 42 mm. Silver champleve dial, the central disc signed ‘Garon London’. In nice clean condition. Original blued steel hands (not reproductions).

CASE : 49.5 mm. Silver. No hallmarks. All in good condition. The hinge is fine and the case snaps shut nicely. Good high dome crystal with no damage.

Peter Garon worked in London from 1687 until bankrupt in 1709.
