Verge movement

Sold

MOVEMENT : Signed and numbered (3151) gilt brass verge movement, with four square pillars, engraved balance cock and plate, and silver regulator disc. In complete and good condition with just a few scratches around the pillar top. Running well.

DIAL : 35 mm. Silver champleve dial, in very good condition. Nice early 18th century steel beetle and poker hands.

INNER CASE : 41.75 mm. No hallmarks but marked with the movement serial number (3151). Good condition throughout with just one light dent on the back near the winding aperture and slight compression where the pendant has been pushed in. The high dome crystal is fine and the bezel snaps shut nicely. There is a small notch on the bezel at about 8 o’clock (not sure why).

OUTER CASE : 48.75 mm. The silver has been reinforced on the inside of the bezel where there is one small hole at the catch. The hinge and catch are fine though the catch button has worn away.
