A substantial English repeating watch, in a heavy 18ct gold case.
MOVEMENT : Gilt lever fusee movement, with gold balance wheel and diamond enstone. Fully signed “Rob. Roskell, LIVERPOOL” and numbered (43377). Running and repeating perfectly with nice load clear chimes from 2 hammers on 2 gongs.
DIAL : 44.5 mm. White enamel, with subsiduary seconds dial. Perfect except for one short and light hairline, running from the edge at 10
CASE : 49.25 mm. 18 ct gold with engine turned band and plain back. The case is fully hallmarked for 18ct gold, London, 1831, maker LC. The crown and stem are also hallmarked for 18ct. This case is in very good condition with just a little wear to the bezel, band and bow, and a couple of very small dents on the bezel. All of the hinges and crystal are fine.
The total case weight (excluding movement and crystal) is 50 gms.
