Gold repousse pair cases
Verge quarter repeating movement

Sold

This is a 22 carat gold watch, in beautiful repousse pair cases, with a quarter repeating verge movement.

MOVEMENT : Beautiful gilded fusee verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock.. Signed (Feron, London). The movement is running well and the repeating mechanism functioning correctly, striking one bell for the hours and two for the quarters.

DIAL : The white enamel dial is 35.25 mm in diameter. No repairs and in good condition, with just some small chips right on the edge at 6 and 8, and a very light hairline running across from 3 to 9 (almost invisible).

INNER CASE : 22 carat pink and yellow gold, 40 mm in diameter. Wonderfully pierced and engraved, with no hallmarks. Good condition, though with a split on the back of the pendant neck (still strong though). The hinge is fine and the case closes nicely. Good high dome crystal with no damage. The bell has had a crack repaired but it sounds fine.

OUTER CASE : 22 carat pink and yellow gold, 44.75 mm in diameter. A beautiful pierced repousse case, no hallmarks but signed by the maker (IB). A little wear to the high points on the back but no holes. There are two old repairs to the bezel, one along the edge of the hinge and the other around the rim at the catch (where there is still a small spilt at the rim). The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes nicely.

The outer case contains two early German calendar watch papers, one on silk.
