Sold

MOVEMENT : Gilded verge fusee movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock. Signed “Ja. Berndale, London” and numbered “43690”. Good original condition and running well..

DIAL : White enamel, 44.5 mm. in diameter. It is in excellent condition, with some surface scratches and a nibble right on the edge at 2.

INNER CASE : Silver, 48.5 mm in diameter. Hallmarked for London, 1809, maker’s mark WM. A few light bruises but good overall condition, The hinge is fine and the case snaps shut nicely. Good high dome bull’s eye crystal with some light scratches but no other damage.

OUTER CASE : Silver, 55 mm in diameter. Good hinge and catch but the case has been repaired with wear to the base filled from the inside. This repair has been very well done. A rubbed hallmark on the bezel survives with the London year mark for 1809, so these cases appear to be a matching pair.
