MOVEMENT : Gilded verge fusee movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock. Signed and numbered (797). It is running well.

DIAL : White enamel, 36 mm in diameter. It is in very good condition with just one short hairline from the edge at 2 and another around the centre hole (hidden by the hour hand). Good late 18th century beetle & poker hands (not reproductions).

INNER CASE : Silver, 38 mm in diameter. Hallmarked for London, 1787. Maker’s mark EL. Good condition with no repairs though the bezel doesn’t shut properly. Good high dome bull’s eye crystal with no damage.

OUTER CASE : Silver, 50.5 mm in diameter. Matching hallmarks to the inner. Hinge and catch fine and the case closes nicely. The catch button is dented but otherwise the case is in fine condition.

The outer case contains a good selection of old watch papers from Godalming and nearby Guildford.
