MOVEMENT : The verge movement is signed and numbered (3396). It is in good condition and is running well.

DIAL : The white enamel dial is about 36.5 mm in diameter. It has a few surface scratches and a light hairline from 11, through the centre to 5, but no repairs. Nice 18th century steel beetle and poker hands (not reproductions).

INNER CASE : Hallmarked for London, 1763, maker IR ? and engraved with the movement serial number (3396) The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes properly. The bow and pendant have been reattached to the case and are probably later replacements. The silver is in good condition with no repairs (other than the pendant) or damage except for some light wear and minor bruises. The high dome bull’s eye crystal is also fine with no damage or significant scratches.

OUTER CASE : Marked as silver on the inside of the bezel (lion passant mark) but no other hallmarks. The hinge and catch are fine and the case snaps shut but the button has worn down. There is some light wear to the high points on the back but no holes or repairs. This is a beautiful case.
