This is an early silver pair cased pocket watch, with silver champleve dial and verge movement, made by Thomas Stansbury from Bromyard in Worcestershire, around 1700.

MOVEMENT : The verge fusee movement is signed, though not numbered. It is complete, in good condition and is running well.

DIAL : The signed silver champleve dial is about 38.2 mm in diameter. It is in nice condition with no damage or repairs. Very nice old blued steel beetle and poker hands which are 18th century and not reproductions.

INNER CASE : Diameter 43mm. No hallmarks. The hinge is fine and the silver is in good condition although the pendant has been reattached to the case. The high dome crystal is perfect. The dial plate is slightly smaller than this case so the case is probably not original to the movement.

OUTER CASE : Diameter 50mm. No hallmarks. The hinge and catch are fine. The silver has a few bruises but no splits or damage.
