This is a large English solid rose gold pair cased pocket watch, in fine working condition, with a cylinder escapement fusee movement, made around 1810, by Thomas Collet of Acton in London.

MOVEMENT : High quality cylinder movement with very large diamond endstone, nicely blued screws and finely engraved and pierced balance cock. The gilded movement is signed and numbered (1060). The movement is in good condition, with the gilding still bright and is running well. It is protected by removable brass dustcap with matching signature and serial number.
The matching gold key is not hallmarked but is the same pink gold colour as the case.

DIAL : The large white enamel dial is about 45.75 mm in diameter. It is in excellent condition with just one small “c” shaped hairline, right on the edge at 3 o’clock.
Nice matching blued steel hands.

INNER CASE : Fully hallmarks for 18 carat gold, London, 1810. The gold is a wonderful rose colour and in excellent condition, with no dents or repairs. The hinge is fine and the case snaps shut tightly.

OUTER CASE : Matching hallmarks to the inner, and again in very good condition, with a few light scratches on the back and one tiny dent (2mm) on the back shoulder near the crown.
